On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Santa Cruz City High standout Brady Chavez’s current college team, the Sacramento State Hornets, lost 13-10 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Ball State Cardinals.

The game took place at John Smith Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Cardinals this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at John Smith Field against South Dakota State Jackrabbits.
