San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District's schools enrolled 2,379 students in the 2022-23 school year, 2.7% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.3% of them were boys, and 47.7% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 73.2% of the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District's total enrollment.

San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District covers five schools within Santa Cruz County with its main office in Ben Lomond.

Among the five schools in San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District, San Lorenzo Valley High School recorded the highest enrollment of 643 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
