The average cost of premium gas in cities within Santa Cruz County was $5.65 per gallon.
Of the 12 gas stations in cities within Santa Cruz County, three offer premium gas.
The average price of premium gas in California was $5.16, compared to $5.27 the week before.
Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
